Older Office woman is Rude and dismissive. I was treated to her Horrible personality over the course of three calls and Shamed for being military and moving too much! I hadn't gotten a 35$ bill ten years ago. Idk why anyone would employ someone that crappy. My dentists office has had a ton of complaints about that office and the woman. Had a fracture in the root of my tooth and they didn't want to discuss it, and I got one single basic X-ray that wasn't looked at before fingers in my mouth and "yeah I can do that" ...Well the doc is nice and hands seemed clean. In the whopping 1.3minutes that was spent saying sure I'll do it schedule an appointment... THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WHY I WAS THERE FOR THAT PARTICULAR APPOINTMENT! BUILDING INFO: go up the stairs, elevator doesn't work very well, be prepared the TV in the waiting room is very loud like ear wrenching loud 🔊, phone calls happening at the desk you can hear everything! and Bathroom was trashed and very shabby. So was the office. Not a great building as it hasn't been kept up over the years. Honestly I have Nothing nice to say here. Just see a different endodontist. Others to choose from! 0/10 do NOT recommend

Leaving 2 stars because the office staff was decently professional. However, would leave 0 stars for Dr. Shurgars. I went for a tooth to be evaluated. It had a previous root canal years ago. After not being able to identify the problem, he ground 2 teeth in the area down. Ummm I get it, sometimes there is a "high bite" and wasnt opposed if it would help. But he did it and said okay..all set. I asked "you're not going to polish them out smooth"? He said "I don't have the ability or tool to do that..they should smooth out"! WHAT??!! So I left with rough, jagged teeth that are now causing the inside of my mouth and cheek to be cut up, swollen and extremely sore. It was all pretty barbaric!! I'll have to see my regular denist and see if he can help at all. Needless to say..not happy and don't recommend anyone go to this dude.

This review is long over due; I had a root canal done by Dr Shugars back in spring of 2023. After the procedure, Dr Shugars referred me to Daniel Brayton for final restoration. The procedure failed and there was still infection in the tooth. As someone with a lot of anxiety around dental work, I would not recommend either of these dentists.

Extremely Painful, Unprofessional Experience – Beware Before You Go! On May 12, 2025, I visited Dr. Kevin Shugger with persistent pain in an old root canal done over 10 years ago. I specifically asked him to extract the tooth, but he arrogantly insisted on retreating it, claiming his 35 years of experience. He reopened and refilled it, billing my insurance $1,600 and taking $300 up front from me. He didn’t perform a full root canal—just opened a small hole to withdraw the root and refill it. As soon as the numbness wore off, the pain became unbearable. I was unable to focus in my work. I called Julie at the front desk, who lied repeatedly about clinic hours and said the doctor would call in an antibiotic prescription. I went to the pharmacy—no call was made. I then had to rush to the clinic before closing, and the doctor gave me an antibiotic that posed a risk to me for my health condition, according to the pharmacist. The office staff, especially Christine, was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. She pointed at me in the waiting room and said, “Hey, you—your turn,” in front of other patients. Very personable staff all around. Very effective i couldn't believe how fast this went. I have massive dental anxiety and I was very much at ease. It's 10 hours after the procedure and I've yet to feel a slight bit of pain from my first root canal. Granted I'm not being shy with a few ibuprofen every 8 hours. The doctor was kind, good humor to ease my worries, explained things simply and effectively. Absolutely was scared by these reviews but happy i took them with a grain of salt because I enjoyed my time in that office.
